It's a special way to acknowledge those in the community who don't have the chance to enjoy a restaurant meal. It is a way of saying "thank you" to carers and those who work so hard for the local community. It is something special for the local community and it is made possible by the generosity of Wing Tang, proprietor of Kong's Peking and Thai Restaurant on The Parade in Bourne End.

Wing Tang is hoping that around 80 guests will take up his invitation.
Invitations have been sent to residents of Orchard House and Alfred Court as well as those who regularly attend Bourne End Day Centre. In addition there will be invitations for those who act as carers. Volunteers working for local community groups will also be invited.

Wing Tang feels that there is a wonderful local community spirit. He believes that it is important to provide something for people who have difficulties in going out and also those who help to make these people's lives more independent and enjoyable. |
