Who Is In Your Family Tree?

Have you ever wondered where you came from? When you watch "Who Do You Think You Are" do you say to yourself "I wish i could trace my family"? If so and you want to know where to start why not come to the Community Centre on Tuesday 8th May and find out. You never know what famous or infamous ancestors you may have :) The Buckinghamshire Family History Society meets each month in the Centre and on 8th May the meeting is about helping people who are just starting out. The evening will take you through the key records used in family history research. Using examples from real family research a family tree will be built using census, parish registers, birth, marriage and death certificates, newspapers, wills and monumental inscriptions. This practical example shows how you can piece together the jigsaw that will become your family's history. This talk should help you if you have recently started your research or just want to make sure you have not missed out on how to use any of the basic building blocks. The doors open at 19:00 and the talk starts at 19:45 with opportunities to quiz experienced Society members both beforehand and afterwards.
