Snow Descends

Bourne End snow - thumbnailOvernight on Thursday a huge amount of snow fell on Bourne End and Wooburn Green. In spite of gritting some roads were closed and traffic ground to a halt. The hills leading into the villages proved hazardous and kept many people at home.

 

 

 

 

With some schools closed children took the opportunity to enjoy the winter wonderland. As the day progressed many of the roads were cleared but the threat of further snowfalls meant that people had to make alternative plans for the busy weekend before Christmas.
