Oh Yes! She's Snow White

SForum Players Panto - thumbnailetting Forum Players' panto in a snowy land was a work of genius. Well done Brenda Phelps. Not that she would have known about the trials and tribulations we have all suffered, especially lost rehearsals, over the last month of snowy weather. Not that it showed. "Snow White" brought traditional panto to the centre theatre and did it in style.

A touch of attitude gave the show an edge. Perfect for the ideally matched central characters of Snow White and Prince Harry. Stunning routines with a cast of hundreds, at least it seemed like that, kept everyone singing and clapping in time to the music. So many of the young cast seemed to have grown since last year's panto but it was lovely to see them all again.

When it comes to being the "baddie" nobody does it better than Wendy Keeble. Her Queen Narcissa, the wicked stepmother, was really horrible. Real nasty was the queen on her birthday. At other times she was truly wicked. Disliked verging on hated and that was just her subjects in Snowdonia. And the audience didn't disagree as she planned and plotted.

Sticky slapstick, sweeties, singing-on-stage for the children were all there to make "Snow White" a panto supreme. There is still time to be part of this tradition. Two performances on Saturday 30 January at 2.30pm and 6.30pm have some seats still available. Call into the library where you will find the box office.
